Ongoing economic collapse, repeated shocks, and prolonged instability have placed growing pressure on mental health in Lebanon. Over the past decade, indicators of psychological distress have worsened while access to care has remained uneven and constrained.
The Status of Mental Health in Lebanon: Risks and Opportunities (2025) provides a synthesis of available data, reports, and institutional evidence to review key trends in mental health outcomes, service availability, and system capacity between 2015 and 2025. The report brings together existing evidence to highlight main risks, gaps, and areas of progress within Lebanon’s mental health landscape.
Prepared by Enmaeya’s Knowledge Hub, the report offers an accessible overview intended to inform policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders, and to support discussion on strengthening mental health services and system resilience in Lebanon.
