LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - December 23, 2025
Lebanon’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded a monthly increase of 0.82% in November 2025 compared to October 2025, according to the Central Administration of Statistics, continuing the country’s trend of rising inflation.
The CPI for November 2025 rose 14.74% compared with November 2024, reflecting the persistent pressures on the cost of living in Lebanon.
The monthly inflation varied across Lebanon’s provinces. Beirut saw a 0.82% increase, while Mount Lebanon recorded a 0.60 percent rise.
The North experienced a higher jump of 1.20%, and the Bekaa region reported a 0.73% increase. Southern Lebanon’s CPI rose 0.75%, whereas Nabatieh saw the highest monthly increase at 1.63%.
The variations across provinces reflect differences in local consumption patterns, transportation costs, and access to goods and services.
The CPI measures the average change over time in prices paid by consumers for a basket of goods and services and is a key indicator of inflation.
Persistent increases in Lebanon’s CPI continue to affect household budgets, particularly for essential items such as food, fuel, and healthcare.
