LEBANON – The Byblos Municipality has launched the “Shopping Month 2026” events, running from February 6 to March 8, in cooperation with the city’s commercial and tourism institutions.

The announcement was made during a meeting at the municipal tourism center, attended by Mayor Dr. Joseph Chamy, municipal council members, local mukhtars, and a gathering of traders and business owners.

Municipal council member and media personality Eliz Marhej emphasized that the project, which achieved great success last year, aims to maintain Byblos’ status as a top tourist destination.

She also encouraged merchants to enhance their digital presence to attract expatriates and visitors.

Mayor Dr. Joseph Chamy highlighted that Shopping Month is an annual platform that strengthens the partnership between the municipality and the private sector, stressing the municipality’s commitment to supporting economic activity amid current challenges.
