BEIRUT — The American University of Beirut (AUB) Press announced a new international partnership with the German digital platform Inlibra, managed by Nomos, aimed at expanding the global reach of its publications.

Under the collaboration, Inlibra will host and distribute AUB Press titles, making them accessible to researchers, students, and institutions worldwide.

The partnership is seen as a major step toward increasing the international visibility of research produced in and about the Arab world.

AUB Press will provide Inlibra with a diverse collection of publications, including the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan series on Arab and Islamic Studies, the Sheikh Zayed series on Arts in the Islamic and Arab Worlds, and a graphic storytelling series from the Arab world.

These works highlight the press’s longstanding engagement with Islamic thought, Quranic studies, history, law, Sufism, art history, visual culture, and innovative approaches in graphic narratives and comics.

The press also publishes broadly on Lebanese and Middle Eastern history, politics, society, cultural heritage, and the arts.

Making these works available through Inlibra will strengthen the platform’s offerings in Middle Eastern, Islamic, and interdisciplinary studies.

Professor Bilal Orfali, Director of AUB Press, said the partnership represents “an important step in expanding the global reach of our publications” and emphasized the press’s commitment to scholarly research.

Through Inlibra’s academic network, AUB Press aims to ensure that peer-reviewed research reaches Europe and other international markets.
