LEBANON - Digitizing investment procedures at the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) was the main focus of a meeting between IDAL Chairman Dr. Majed Mnaymeh and Minister of the Ministry of State for Administrative Development Dr. Fadi Makki, according to a statement.

The talks covered a new phase to modernize the agency’s administrative work. The plan aims to update procedures and introduce full digital processing.

A key point was the development of IDAL’s One Stop Shop for licensing. The proposal calls for a gradual shift to full automation. Investors would be able to submit applications online instead of in person.

They would also be able to track their files electronically. The system is expected to reduce processing time and improve transparency.

The two sides also discussed linking IDAL electronically with other ministries and public institutions. This step would allow data sharing between government bodies. It would also help unify forms and connect approval processes.

The Ministry, which leads administrative reform and digital transformation, would oversee this coordination.

In addition, officials reviewed plans for a unified digital platform to present projects that ministries plan to market to investors. The platform would organize how opportunities are promoted and make them easier to access.

The meeting comes as part of ongoing cooperation between the Ministry and IDAL.
