LEBANON - The Association of Petroleum Importing Companies in Lebanon (APIC) reassured the public that sufficient fuel supplies are available despite heightened regional tensions and a surge in demand at several gas stations.
In a statement, APIC said importing companies currently hold enough stocks of petroleum derivatives, including gasoline, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas, in their storage facilities to meet at least 15 days of demand under normal sales conditions.
The association added that additional fuel shipments are scheduled to arrive in Lebanon in the coming days, further reinforcing supply levels.
APIC stressed that the existing stock does not include quantities already available at fuel stations across the country, nor the reserves held by vital sectors and productive and service institutions such as hospitals, bakeries and factories.
The association confirmed that the supply chain through Lebanon’s ports and maritime routes remains operational and unaffected, ensuring the continued flow of fuel into the local market.
Importing companies are closely monitoring developments in coordination with relevant Lebanese authorities, fuel station syndicates and distributors nationwide to maintain market stability and orderly distribution.
Acknowledging public concern amid current circumstances, APIC called on citizens to remain calm and avoid panic buying, warning that excessive demand could strain stations, disrupt distribution and negatively impact market stability.
