
LEBANON – Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji announced via X that he received a message from Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot, informing him of his country’s decision to allocate €5 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon, to be delivered through contributions to relevant United Nations funds.
The Belgian minister added that he tasked his country’s ambassador in Beirut with communicating with Lebanese civil and military authorities to assess their needs, with a detailed report to be submitted to the Belgian government to determine possible forms of support according to available resources.
The Belgian foreign minister also reiterated his country’s full support for the Lebanese people and government in facing the exceptional circumstances currently affecting Lebanon.
