
LEBANON – The Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers issued its daily report on the evolving field and humanitarian situation in the country, recording figures that reflect the scale of the escalating crisis and ongoing response efforts.
First: Human and Field Casualties
The report revealed a cumulative toll (as of last night), with the number of martyrs reaching 2,387, while the number of injured rose to 7,602. On the operational level, 8,619 hostile acts have been recorded up to the time of the report’s issuance.
Second: Displacement Situation and Shelter Centers
Data indicate the continued mass displacement movement, as shelter centers across various Lebanese regions have received the following:
• Number of active shelter centers: 631
• Total number of displaced persons in shelters: 117,421
• Total number of displaced families in shelters: 30,431
Third: Distributed Aid and Humanitarian Response
The report outlined details of aid distributed to meet the basic needs of displaced and affected populations, divided into the following sectors:
1. Food Security:
• More than 6 million meals (hot and cold) provided.
• Distribution of 112,569 ready-to-eat food rations.
2. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH):
• Distribution of 103,984 hygiene kits for families.
• Provision of over 3.8 million liters of drinking water.
• Provision of 44,155 menstrual hygiene management (MHM) kits.
• Distribution of 8,860 baby care kits (for ages 0–24 months).
3. Basic Relief Items:
• Provision of 212,229 mattresses.
• Distribution of 276,128 blankets.
