LEBANON - The National Commission for Lebanese Women (NCLW), the Ministry of Economy and Trade, and Sader Advocates & Legal Consultants have jointly launched a comprehensive legal guide aimed at supporting both female and male entrepreneurs in Lebanon.
The initiative was announced through a coordinated social media campaign across the official accounts of the participating institutions, introducing the publication titled “Lebanon: The Legal Guide for Female and Male Entrepreneurs”, released in June 2026.
Simplifying Business Setup and Growth
The guide is designed as a practical roadmap to help entrepreneurs navigate Lebanon’s legal and regulatory framework, from establishing a business to scaling operations. It aims to simplify complex legal procedures and make them more accessible to small and medium-sized business owners.
According to the guide, it supports entrepreneurs in:
• Establishing business ventures securely
• Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
• Protecting intellectual property and creative assets
• Understanding ongoing legal obligations
• Making informed strategic business decisions
Legal Structures Explained
A key component of the guide is helping entrepreneurs choose the appropriate legal structure for their businesses, a decision that directly impacts liability, taxation, and funding opportunities.
It outlines several legal forms available in Lebanon, including sole proprietorships, commercial establishments, limited liability companies (SARL), joint-stock companies (SAL), branches of foreign companies, representative offices, and cooperatives.
Protecting Intellectual Property
The publication also highlights the importance of intellectual property protection, including trademarks, brand names, logos, patents, industrial designs, copyrights, and trade secrets.
