Lebanon Introduces New Digital Platform to Support Agricultural Exporters
The new platform aims to help Lebanese producers access regional and European markets through centralized trade information and support tools.
BEIRUT – The Ministry of Economy and Trade (MoET) has launched LEBTRADE, an online platform designed to support Lebanese exporters and producers in accessing new regional and European markets.
The platform was developed under the project “Strengthening Exports of Fruits and Vegetables from Lebanon to European and Regional Markets”, funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and implemented by the René Moawad Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry.
LEBTRADE aims to provide exporters with reliable and centralized information on key trade-related topics, including promising markets for Lebanese products, legal requirements and standards, quality support organizations, support programs, as well as relevant news and events.
According to the Ministry, the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen Lebanon’s export capacity and help producers reach new and more competitive markets.
The platform currently highlights market opportunities across eight key products and value chains: avocados, table grapes, potatoes, cherries, wine, pickles, sauces, and olive oil.
Officials say the platform was developed through close collaboration between the Ministry and a range of local and international partners, including support organizations and development programs.
They add that all information provided on LEBTRADE is based on credible sources and validated methodologies, with the aim of offering practical and reliable guidance to Lebanese producers and exporters.
The Ministry emphasized that the project reflects its ongoing strategy to enhance export opportunities and support the agricultural sector in accessing high-potential markets abroad.
