The Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development, in partnership with the British Council, invites young people from across Lebanon to apply for Youth Connect: Inclusive Governance & Prevention of Violent Extremism.
The programme will engage 120 young people aged 18–30 from across Lebanon and equip them with practical skills and opportunities to contribute to the recalibration and implementation of the Prevention of Violent Extremism Strategy and National Action Plan.
Participants will benefit from:
Connect and build relationships with young women and men from across Lebanon.
Engage with key national and local stakeholders, including government and public institutions, INGOs, CSOs, and decision-makers.
Receive training and capacity strengthening in governance, accountability, civic participation, social cohesion, PVE, communication, and research.
Develop inclusive leadership, critical thinking, active listening, communication, participatory action research, partnership-building, engagement, and negotiation skills.
Participate in dialogue with public institutions and decision-makers on PVE-related topics.
Receive mentorship and teamwork support to design and implement PVE-related Action Projects.
Develop policy papers, campaigns, coalitions, and policy-oriented initiatives.
Receive a certificate of accomplishment related to Youth Connect, PVE, and governance.
Access potential opportunities to become a mentor.
Join the wider Youth Connect learning and alumni network.
Capacity Strengthening and Media Engagement Opportunities:
Receive specialized training from Enmaeya in podcast production, storytelling, interviewing, and content creation.
Participate in interviews conducted by Enmaeya to share their personal journey, experiences, and impact throughout the programme.
Produce and host their own podcast episodes to showcase and discuss their Action Plans, lessons learned, challenges, and Action Project impact.
Strengthen their communication, public speaking, and digital media skills while amplifying their voices and promoting civic engagement through podcasting.

Students, graduates, volunteers, young professionals, activists, and emerging leaders residing in Lebanon
Applicants interested in and willing to contribute to governance, PVE, civic participation, community engagement, or social cohesion
Applicants able to participate actively throughout the programme
Eligibility and inclusion criteria:
Aged between 18 and 30 years
Male and female applicants are equally encouraged to apply
Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
Enrolled in or graduated from a university or technical/vocational institution
Programme timeline:
5 August 2026: Onboarding
17–21 August 2026: Bootcamp
October–November 2026: Research, dialogue, and Collective Action Project design (approximately two self-paced days per week)
December 2026–January 2027: Collective Action Project implementation (approximately two self-paced days per week)
February 2027: Programme closure and integration into the Youth Rise of Lebanon Forum and the Regional Youth Connect Network
