"Byblos Panorama" Launches Electric Bus Tourism Experience
This project comes as part of efforts to promote sustainable tourism in Lebanon and highlight the cultural and historical heritage of historic cities through modern and environmentally friendly approaches.
LEBANON – A new tourism project titled “Byblos Panorama” has been launched, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the city of Byblos through panoramic tours aboard electric double-decker buses, in a step aimed at promoting sustainable tourism and showcasing the city’s historical landmarks.
The project was launched under the patronage of Minister of Tourism Lara Lahoud, in cooperation with the Municipality of Byblos and the tourism development association “Hymelco.”
The tours provide a comprehensive sightseeing experience covering the city’s main attractions, from historic streets and ancient souks to the port and archaeological sites, allowing visitors to experience Byblos from a new perspective.
The journey also includes an audio commentary available in five languages, ensuring an inclusive experience for both Lebanese and international tourists.
The project relies entirely on electric buses, contributing to reduced emissions and offering a more sustainable model for urban tourism transport.
“Byblos Panorama” is expected to boost tourism activity in Byblos and offer a unique way to explore one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.
