Leading Scholarship 2026
Description

To support outstanding young leaders who are creating positive change in their communities and countries, One Young World is accepting applications for its flagship Leading Scholarship 2026 to attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3 to 6, 2026.

The scholarship is designed to increase access to global leadership spaces for young people from countries that are often under-represented in international forums. Selected scholars will join young leaders from around the world to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and engage with global experts and decision-makers.

What You Will Gain:

  • Attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town as a fully accredited delegate

  • Connect with a global network of more than 20,000 young leaders from 196 countries

  • Access networking, mentoring, speaking, and leadership opportunities through the One Young World community

  • Increase the visibility of your work and engage with international experts and leaders

  • Receive hotel accommodation and meals during the Summit period

  • Join the One Young World Ambassador community and access future opportunities for collaboration and engagement

Who Can Join:

  • Young leaders between 18 and 35 years old

  • Individuals with a demonstrated commitment to creating positive change

  • Applicants addressing important local or global challenges through their work

  • Young people with a track record of developing impactful and innovative ideas

  • Applicants from any country, with priority given to countries that have been under-represented at previous One Young World Summits

  • First-time Summit participants may receive priority during the selection process

Why Join:

The Leading Scholarship provides young leaders with an opportunity to bring their work and perspectives to an international platform while building connections with peers, experts, and decision-makers from around the world. It is particularly designed to ensure that talented young leaders who may otherwise face barriers to attending global forums can participate in the One Young World Summit.
